What we can do as white women in the BLM movement
If you’re thinking about how you can help fight for black lives, there are three things:
You can accept that you are racist (either a little bit or a lot)
You can let go of the shameful and guilty thoughts that go with thinking you’re racist
You can do the work to think new thoughts of how you can move forward to help.
Because living in shame and staying silent because you don’t know what to do doesn’t help you or anyone.
Here are some resources to help you let go of shameful thoughts and come to accept yourself the way you are and move forward:

You can post what you believe on social media and have difficult conversations with people you know.
You can donate to bail funds in your city.
There are so many ways to help. The most helpful might be to:
come to terms with your own racists thoughts and privilege,
stop shaming yourself for these thoughts, and
start to see things from another perspective.
You’ll become more aware of other people’s experiences and be able to start to have uncomfortable conversations, feel more empowered, and take more action.
